Your secret invite to monetizing what you love
This is what you've been missing...
10 months ago, I was scrolling through social media and noticed something...
Every single person sounds the same.
The craziest part?!
I was no different.
A regurgitation of ideas I heard from huge creators online.
On a fast-paced platform like X, people see over 150 ideas a day. If you don't stand out, you get washed out.
‣ Your social media growth stops
‣ You struggle to come up with unique ideas
‣ You're stressed out because you write about unfulfilling topics
This all stems from not having a proven system to turn any idea into your own. You don’t have a set frame for your brand. But the moment you do?
You attract the perfect person and get to monetize what you love.
Here's what happened to me when I started building this way:
If you want to make money online writing about what you love… This post is about to change your life (No this isn't another "just use personality" post)
First of all, a bit of background story...
4 years ago I smoked weed every single day and had no reason to get out of bed in the morning.
But I had this deep feeling of being able to do more.
I knew I had potential, but had no clue how to actualize it.
That's when I started researching life purpose and human consciousness. I wanted to understand what we are capable of (and oh boy is it crazy)
This story is for another time tho...
Today I want to focus on the mind-baby I created thanks to merging years of research on life purpose and content creation into a unique system that isn’t available anywhere else online:
Value Ideation
Thanks to the value ideation process, anyone can:
1. Find their 10 core values
2. Find their life purpose
3. Craft a brand out of both (so you can monetize what you love)
It sounds too good to be true, but it worked for me, and ALL my students that have gone through it:
Before getting into the actual system, here's why 99% of creators NEVER monetize (even after having tried everything):
Imagine this:
Monday comes around and Josh (a performance coach), writes about a topic under the angle of a specific pain point. This attracts a few people who have this pain (let’s call them Type A).
Then Tuesday comes, and he writes about a new topic, still in his niche. But this time he uses a completely different pain point that Type A isn't facing. Instead, he attracts Type B people.
Then the next day, Type C people.
Then he cycles back to A.
Can you see the problem here?
Josh doesn't have a system to speak from the same angle every time he posts.
This is where most people go wrong.
To grow a powerful brand, you need a powerful narrative.
People need to recognize your content, over & over & over again. They need to KNOW what feeling they'll get from reading your stuff. This is how you get them to come back.
Nobody becomes a fan of a random mess of ideas and solutions.
They become fans of someone who helps their specific situation every single day.
But speaking about one thing is boring right?
How can we achieve this brand consistency, while also:
‣ Improving life-enjoyment
‣ Falling in love with your work
‣ Getting thousands of unique ideas
It's pretty simple...
You need to find your core values.
A purpose-based creator has 10 of these core values. They are the things that mean the most to him in the world. EVERYBODY has them...
But not many know what they are.
I wrote an entire article on using your values in your brand, finding your life purpose, and becoming your best self [Click here to read it]
Right now I want to focus solely on The Value Ideation Process
The 4-Step Value Ideation Process
The process is pretty simple, but man is it mind-blowing.
It allows you to take any idea, make it your own, and frame it under the angle of your purpose-based brand.
It guarantees you attract the same person over & over, making them become fans, and then buying from you.
Let's get right into it...
Step 1. Inspiration Process
Everything starts with an idea.
You can do this through:
1. Going to YT and looking at your favorite youtubers
2. Going to Medium and finding ideas
3. Opening a good book
4. Finding a good quote
5. Going on a walk
The method you use isn't important... As long as it's an idea you find interesting, want to understand better, and want to reflect in your brand.
I like to find creators who have my audience, and then look at their most popular titles.
DON'T WATCH OR READ THE CONTENT PIECE THO... You want to keep the sauce coming from your mind.
Step 2. Deconstruction
You can't just rip off anyone's idea, right? (hahaha)
That would give the opposite results than what we are looking for.
Instead, you want to understand what their idea means to you... Break it down. Understand all its parts.
Here's the system I use for this every single day (part of it at least):
You can get instant free access to this system, alongside a 7-Day training to find your 10 core values and fall in love with your work by clicking the image above
The crazy part about this?
The more you do it, the more of a unique database you build.
It's like having Lego blocks for your mind.
When writing, you can just pop in, find a relevant idea, and use parts of your previous breakdown to pull into your current piece.
This makes writing 20x easier.
You'll never stare at a blank screen again.
Step 3. Applying the filter
This is where the fun is at...
In the breakdown, you'll have a section where you can filter the idea through your Purpose-Based Brand:
‣ Your core values
‣ Your Zone Of Genius
‣ Your mission and life purpose
No joke, this is revolutionary.
That might sound like someone trying to catch your attention, but it seriously is... LIKE SERIOUSLY.
This has never been seen before in branding.
Step 4. Reconstruction
Now that you have puzzle pieces, it's time to build.
You can mix and match your ideas in a way that creates a powerful piece of content fully angled under your brand.
Thanks to your values, you'll attract the perfect person.
Thanks to your mission, you'll rally people to follow you (and come back).
Thanks to your purpose, you'll have the motivation to never give up.
Don't sleep on this system...
Just try it, you'll see what I mean.
I made it easy on you with a free 7-day challenge that walks you through each step of this process in detail.
By the end of it, you'll have unlimited unique ideas, massive amounts of motivation, and you'll fall in love with your work.
See you there.
As usual, I love you,
Euan
