A love letter to people making no progress

For a good part of my online journey I struggled with the common:

"I don't know what to do"

But you know what?

That's just a BS excuse.

You see... To succeed in business, or life in general. There's only one single thing you need to do (no that is not a joke).

I mean it.

Do this right, and you win.

Before telling you exactly what this thing is, I want you to understand this: People think they make no progress because of a lack of skill… But that isn’t the issue.

The real issue is lack of focus.

They let themselves get pulled in every single direction, when in reality, all you need to do is solve problems.

That’s that one thing.

Two reasons:

1. Your life situation is purely the result of the problems you’ve solved in the past

2. Business as a whole is simply problem solving

Solve your current problem = move to the next level (no more lack of progress)

Build a good solution = Build a good business

That's literally it.

Instead of thinking you don't know what to do. Or watching 10 random YouTube videos on making money (which is just making things worse). Or putting it off as "I'm too tired, I need work-life balance"...

Simply pull out a piece of paper, note the goal down, what is the problem between you and that goal, then start brainstorming solutions.

What's even better?

Before doing ANY of this... Find your life-purpose.

Here's why:

A purpose is a problem you find meaning in solving. One big problem that would take a life-time to solve. This gives direction to every other little problem you solve along the path of life.

Meaning all the problems you solve for yourself can be packaged up into one program, course, or mentorship.

Do you get it yet?

Purpose gives consistency:

- To your ideas
- To your solutions
- To your life in general

Without it, you're just a leaf floating in a stream.

That might be enjoyable. Maybe even comfortable. But a leaf in a stream won't build a succesful business.

Or make an impact.

You NEED consistency.

People need to feel the same feeling every time they read a piece you produce... This'll cause them to relate that feeling to you, and want to come back every time they want to feel it.

And again... ALL THIS stems from one thing:

Solving a big problem (purpose).

So to recap:

1. Find your life's purpose
2. Move forward in life by defining & solving the current problem between you and that purpose

That's it.

Always optimize for the bottleneck.
