I just hit 30,000 posts on X

Here are the 3 most important lessons I've learned for making it as a content creator

I was sipping my coffee like any other Wednesday, opening X to go chat with you guys when all of a sudden...

WOW!

30k posts.

That's a whole lot of typing.

So I quickly put down my mug to start writing this email. (yeah... even more typing)

Before we start, I seriously wanna thank y'all who read these emails.

I love the guys over on social media...

But you?

You're the real ones.

So as a thank you, here are the 3 BIGGEST lessons I've learned after hitting send 30,000 times on X... (The 2nd is my favorite)

1. Content is business

I see beginners make this mistake WAY TOO MUCH!

They think content is just putting words on a page in a nice way to lead people read to read it.

But what they don't realize, is that to get good at content, you must understand the principles of business. They cross over.

So what is business?

It's simply problem-solving.

And 99% of problems are solved by defining them.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned during my time online, is that if you can define someone's problem in more detail than they can themselves?

YOU'VE GOT THEM IN THE MF BAG.

Now... Before we get all excited because you're gonna go out and write content that drives a bunch of sales (thanks to applying thise)... How do you know what problems are worth writing about?

Simple.

Talk. To. Your. Audience.

WHY DO PEOPLE NOT DO THIS?!

1. Find someone who fits your target
2. Hop on a call with them (offer free help)
3. Ask them questions related to problems/desires
4. Do this 20 times
5. Notice the connections
6. UNLIMITED CONTENT IDEAS WOOOOOO!!!!

As simple as that.

2. You got value all wrong

Man did I make this mistake often...

You know that feeling when you find something out, and then you feel like it was obvious since the start?

You're like "DUDEEEE WHY DID I NOT SEE THIS BEFORE?!"

That's how I've felt since learning this lesson.

So what is it?

Huhhhh?

This lesson is....

Get ready....

Aight I'm messing with you hahahahhaa! (lmfao) Here’s the actual lesson:

Value isn't created by the amount of words, length of post, amount of tweets, or level of actionable advice you give.

I had to figure this out by tweeting 30,000 times ;(

Value is measured by the shift in behavior that occurs once someone reads your piece.

Read that again.

If value is created when a shift in behavior is achieved, then what changes behavior?

Inspiration. Pain. Love.

AKA: Emotion (MAKE PEOPLE FEEEEL)

Why?

Because emotion leads to motion (credit: Tony Robbins)

3. The most obvious of all

I want you to take a step back right now...

Look at your hand.

Now realize how incredibly mysterious this all is... How is there something instead of nothing?

I want you to hold that feeling with you forever.

This entire thing we call life is pure play. It's all a game. No matter how "hard" it gets... THAT'S THE POINT.

Humans are problem solvers, not avoiders.

If life was all easy and butterflies, how boring would that be?!

Reframe hardship.

Reframe pain.

Reframe loss.

See it all as play.

Because that's what it is.

I've come to notice that the more I have fun playing this game, the better my results are... Because I stop winning or losing.

I just start to f*cking play.

That's it.

THERE'S NOTHING ELSE TO DO BUT PLAY.

KEEP THAT IN YOUR MIND ALRIGHT?

Thanks for reading.

I just dropped my first video thread PACKED with value on X.

If you’re a serious content creator and want to monetize what you love, you gotta check it out ;) [Click here to see the thread]

As usual, I love you,

Euan

P.S.

Keep your eyes pealed for my future emails, I got some seriously powerful stuff coming out with extremely limited spots...

If you've ever wanted to approach personal branding in a different way than 99% of people by finding your purpose, monetizing it, and creating a movement...

This is gonna be for you ;)
