Don't look for validation, try this instead...
An awesome (and proven) technique to make money doing what you love
Everybody has had this thought:
—
WHAT?!
How did this random guy pass me in followers in only 2 weeks?!
I mean... I've been posting for 5 months now, this doesn't make any sense!
—
It's weird ey?
Everyone seems to be doing better than you.
Reality is... That'll always be the case.
You’ll always be inferior.
I'm kidding hahaha!
One of the biggest realizations I've had after posting to social media for over a year is that EVERYBODY plays in their lane.
We all have different goals, habits, and strategies.
If our inputs are different, how do you expect the outputs to be similar?
Now... Comparing yourself to others can be SUPER useful. You can learn a bunch. Notice mistakes. And simply improve your strategy by taking snippets from others.
But the single thing you should never do? (and I mean NEVER)…
COMPARING USING EMOTION.
The moment you include emotion into the equation, you'll start looking at those who:
1. Have more experience
2. Put in more time and effort
3. Have a different situation than yours
You'll start to think you’re doing something wrong... When in reality, you're doing exactly what you need to do.
Playing the game.
That guy who’s growing 10x faster than you might have a coach, mentor, or past experience that allows him to do so.
Think of it this way…
Social media is like a game of chess.
Once you know the basic moves, there are close to infinite numbers of combinations and strategies you can use to win.
If you play against someone who knows hundreds of advanced strategies... Then of course he'll beat you. Because he has more flexibility with his decision-making.
Would it make sense for you to compare yourself and feel inferior?
Would it?
NO. IT. WOULD. NOT.
Instead, shift your mindset.
You are playing your game, with your goals, developing your strategies.
No matter how long it takes, you'll keep playing.
That's how you win this. Not by looking at how others “win” and defining what a "win" is based on that. But by defining what winning is based on your own terms, then doing everything in your power to move toward that.
That’s a lot of winning in one paragraph hahaha!
Stop expecting sh*t to happen.
Stop thinking about what others are doing.
Stop outsourcing your decision-making to the Internet.
Simply define your terms to win, put them in a drawer, don't think about them much, and start playing.
Remember, this is all a game.
One big, beautiful, awesome, and highly skillful game.
Thanks for reading.
As usual - I love you,
