Now… onto today’s letter:

It took me 9 months to monetize my audience online, but I could've done it in 2 if I understood this simple principle.

Don't get me wrong, I was consistent...

But my profile looked like a random mash of ideas I enjoyed, with no clear niche or direction.

And that's immediately where I see 99% of people go wrong.

They don't know what a niche is.

‣ It isn't a skill
‣ It isn't a topic
‣ It isn't a business model

You struggle to monetize because you say "I am the niche" but never take the time to define what problem you solve.

A niche isn't anything we mentioned above.

It's a group of people, facing a problem. That's it.

If you want to get paid doing what you love, you need two things:

1. A solution to a problem
2. Someone facing that problem (to sell too)

And all you need to sell your solution is to convince them your solution works, and convince them you can deliver it.

If you can tick these boxes, BAM... You have business.

I know. Simple right?

People overcomplicate this SOOOO much.

To make it easy on you, here's a simple 2-Part process to figure out what problem you want to solve (so you can start getting paid to enjoy life):

1. Stop outsourcing your thinking. Test shit out yourself.

One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was thinking someone else knew what was best for me.

When you stop to think about it... HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?

‣ Only you know what you love most
‣ Only you know what you hate most
‣ Only you know what works for you most

The moment I realized this is the moment I became a full-time creator.

And it doesn't only apply to your niche.

Instead of looking for a Guru's routine online, spend a month testing sleep schedules, content schedules, and diets.

Track your inputs. Track your outputs.

Do more of what improves your life, and less of what doesn't.

You can and should do this for every aspect of your life.

Now let's get back to finding that problem you want to fix...

The hard part?
I can't tell you what to pick (nobody can).

The cool part?
Once you do the work, you'll love life.

However, I can give you a direction to go in... And that's enough to get you real far if you apply it. (I can also give you a clear and proven step-by-step system inside me community, join with the link at the end of the post)

2. Your Zone Of Genius

You're Zone Of Genius is a way to put turn what you love, into a problem, then a solution, then some cash (wooooo)!

Before moving on, I want you to realize one thing:

It takes as much effort to monetize summer barbecue's than it does anything else.

"Euan... What the f*ck are you on about?"

I'm saying don't pick this based on how easy it seems to monetize. Because what you love, or don't love won't affect how much effort you need to put in.

Stay true to yourself.

What is more worthwile than to spend 100% of your time working on making your love the center of your life?

NOTHING!

There are 3 questions you need to ask yourself:

1. What are the subjects I find myself endlessly passionate about discussing or exploring?

2. When people seek my advice, which topics are most common?

3. What problems or roadblocks have I overcome in my life? Have I discovered or developed a unique solution?

Now, can you distill these answers into a clear sentence?

The cool thing with defining your niche as a transformation is that you can speak about any single topic you want, as long as it advances your relationship with your target, and moves him toward the [benefit/outcome]

WARNING: I repeat, do not hold back here. What's that one thing that you could go on & on about? What's your browser history filled with? What do you consume the most content about?

"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you."
