Why aren't you doing this?

I figured out the secret writing formula (Ready to be mind blown?)

Believe it or not, the biggest jumps in my digital journey didn't come from the thousands of dollars I spent on courses, coaching, or mentorship.

They didn't come from books either.

Nor did they come from luck or talent.

But they came from how certain words made me feel when they hit my eardrums.

The year was 2022.

I was a chef working 75h in a kitchen, paid minimum wage, always looking forward to the moment I could get home to jump into my gaming chair and play Fortnite.

I didn't have much going for me other than the fact I was REALLY good at the game. But IRL?

I was broke. Dead broke.

For months as I dragged myself out of bed in the morning, and dragged myself back into it at night… I would have this constant voice in the back of my head, pulling me to do something more with my life.

I knowwww so cliché hahahahha

One day on my way home, I saw this guy on YouTube: Luke Belmar.

The dude was going on about how the world is a psyop, the government is out to get you, and a "Great Reset" is coming.

Me being into conspiracy theories, I clicked...

And when I finished that video?

Guess what happened...

I clicked another, and another, and another. I was hooked. The words he was saying made so much sense that my brain felt like it was unlocking a sixth sense.

I didn’t believe in all of it, but I did see the pattern of the 9-5 trap, the money trap, and the possibilities outside of the “traditional path”.

For weeks to come, all I could do was look into this:

‣ What is money?
‣ Where does it come from?
‣ What is "wage slavery" and why should you escape it?

It felt like discovering an entire new world.

That's when lil me started my journey. Clueless about the path ahead… the path that led to a sharp 180° turn that brought a 17 year olf chef who didn’t enjoy much of life, to a 19 year old full-time content creator (writing about what he loves most in the world)

So why am I telling you this?

Because every single big jump came from those emotional shifts that happened when I heard a specific set of words. ALL of my progress… It didn’t come from “actionable value” per se. It came from someone changing my perspective.

Not the information.

The feeling.

For example, think back to the last book you read... You might remember 2 or 3 sentences, but overall, what do you remember? The specific words? Or the specific shift that occured when you read those words?

This is what good content does.

The purpose of education isn’t to give as much information as possible… but to change behaviour as much as possible. By any means.

If you just give actionable information, but no emotional appeal, the reader won't do anything. If you just give emotional appeal, but no actionable information, the reader will still relate that shift in perspective and behaviour back to you.

But how do you do this?

How do you make someone FEEL something?

The best way?

Purpose.

What better "why" to have than your own life purpose that means SO MUCH to you, that when you speak about it, everyone gets moved.

When you have a big purpose to back your brand, you can relate what you say back to THAT specific emotional appeal.

For example you probably know Hamza right?

The bathrobe guy.

His purpose is to rekindle masculinity in all men.

Every time he gives advice, he relates back to this bigger picture, how it's affecting the world negatively, and how solving it will affect the world positively.

Then he zooms back in and explains how it will affect the individual consumers life negatively (if not solved) and positively (when solved).

This way people don't just see him as words.

They see him as a movement.

You can't do that without purpose.

The greatest cause of suffering in the world stems from a lack of purpose. Without purpose, you have no reason to even get out of bed in the morning. You have no application for your day to day life.

That's all meaning is.

Having something so big, that it gives direct application to your entire experience.

And this is how you give meaning to your content.

If you can get anything from reading this?

Don’t be empty words on a page.

As usual - I love you,

Euan “Purpose-Based” Spencer.

P.S.

The best place to get started with finding your life-purpose (vision), is to find your 10 core values.
